Regional Arts: Audition Workshop Series
In November 2008, The Actors Studio will hold a 4 part workshops series that helps students prepare for auditions to get into an arts high school. Our Regional Arts: Audition Workshop Series is broken up in 4 parts to allow students the preparation time needed in order to prepare a professional looking audition.

• The first workshop focuses on what to expect on the day of the audition and what to prepare.
• The second workshop allows the students to present the monologue that they chose with the instructor’s feedback during the first workshop, and give the instructor an opportunity to give a constructive critique to each student.
• The third workshop is a private one hour coaching session with the instructor to prepare the final touches on the monologue.
• The final workshop is a mock audition. The instructor(s) sit as a panel and critique the students monologue, presentation, professionalism and dress code. Students are expected to come to the mock audition as prepared and dressed as they would be if this was their real audition.

In the past Kristine Marchese and The Actors Studio has coached help several students and helped them successfully be accepted into Peel, York Durham, and Toronto arts high schools. Even though our success rate is 92%, we make no guarantees about student acceptance into these programs….however we do guarantee that if the students do the prep work that we teach them to do; we GUARANTEE they will be ready for their audition.

December 9th - 7:00-8:30pm
January 7, 8, 9, 2009 - private coaching sessions TBA
January 15th 2009 - final workshops, mock audition 7:00-8:30pm
