 Improv/Sketch Comedy Troupe
In September 2007, DYT held auditions to find Brampton's best youth improvisers, and we found them. The elite group began working with Kristine Marchese (Tony n' Tina's Wedding, The Jon Dore Show, The Second City) and Marco Timpano ( The Second City, LA Comedy Festival, Canadian Comedy Award Winner 2009) to develop strong improvisational and sketch comedy writing skills. In early October the troupe found a name for themselves, The Hooligans.

On the heels of finding an appropriate troupe name, the witty group began improvising and writing such shows as "On With The Snow", "Knock, Knock, Hoo-ligans there?", "$15 All You Can Laugh Buffet", "Those Paint Chips Were Tasty", "League of Extraordinary Hooligans" , and most recently their sketch revue, "The Hooligans - Greatest Hits". They have performed at The Rose Theatre, Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People in Toronto, three times at the acclaimed Second City Toronto and recently made their sketch comedy debut at The Comedy Bar (www.comedybar.ca) in Toronto. The Hooligans are professional, driven, and possibly some of the funniest kids to come out of Brampton! Don't Miss any of their upcoming shows!
Every September we hold auditions to find new up and coming comedians....if you think that's you, then email dytps@dytproductions.com or call 416-712-2749 for an audition time.

 Improv Troupe
In September 2007, DYT launched its first ever improv/sketch troupe called The Hooligans. Since their creation, The Hooligans have gone on to perform at The Rose Theatre, Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People and the acclaimed Second City.
The Thugs were created in September 2008, acting as the place for the up and coming improv stars tomake their debut and train to become one of our elite Hooligans in coming years. The Thugs held their own improv set at The Peel Heritage Complex in January 2009, and opened for The Hooligans at The Second City in Toronto on March 7th 2009.
The troupe rehearses once a week, and it is an intense rehearsal process, but will prove to be fun for all involved.
For Ages 11 to 16, Rehearsals Mondays 7pm - 9pm
*Cost $515 FULL YEAR
